About Mountain Mama Florals

Every arrangement we design carries a little bit of history: a grandmother’s garden in West Virginia, years spent in the world of fine hospitality, and a deep belief that flowers can do more than decorate a room. They can tell a story. Here’s ours.

Flexible floral design rooted in artistry,
guided by event expertise.

This gets to feel easy

You come in with screenshots, saved posts, a few words like “romantic, but not too much,” and a general sense of “I just want it to look really good.”

Perfect. That’s exactly where we come in.

We take your ideas, even the slightly chaotic ones, and translate them into artful, cohesive florals that feel like you… just more intentional. From bouquets to installations to all the thoughtful in-between details, every piece is designed with intention so when you walk into your space, it doesn’t just look beautiful, it feels right.

And just as important as how it looks is how it feels to get there.

We’re here to make the process feel easy, collaborative, and genuinely enjoyable. To guide you without overwhelming you. To help you focus on what actually matters, and let go of what doesn’t. To be the kind of partner you trust completely, so you’re not second-guessing or stressing about the details.

You bring the vibe, we’ll bring the clarity, the creativity, and the execution to make it all come together beautifully.

Our Approach

Florals should do more than decorate a space, they should shape how it feels.

Intentional Design

Every piece is thoughtfully created to reflect your vision and make a cohesive space. Never cookie-cutter, always considered.

Romantic, Textural Style

Soft, layered, and a little bit wild. Balanced with a refined, elevated finish.

Atmosphere-Driven

It’s not just about how it looks (though it will look very good). It’s about how it feels when you’re in it.

Thoughtful Sustainability

We believe beautiful events should also be thoughtful ones. From reusable mechanics to intentional design practices, we aim to reduce waste behind the scenes. After your celebration, many of your blooms are repurposed through our partnerships with nonprofits like The Simple Sunflower, bringing joy to local hospitals and care facilities, and giving your flowers a meaningful second life.

More than Just Flowers

Hi, I’m Savannah, founder, lead designer, and the person who has genuinely loved flowers since I was a kid on my grandmother’s West Virginia farm watching her turn a garden into something that made people stop and stare. Today, I run my studio just outside Annapolis, designing for couples across DC, Maryland, and the surrounding area.

That childhood creativity followed me through a career in luxury hospitality, where I learned that the most beautiful events aren’t just pretty, they’re thoughtful, intentional, and felt. One night while watching a rom-com, I saw a small-town florist on screen, calm, happy, completely herself in her own shop, and I turned to my sister and husband and said, ‘I want to do that.’ They said, ‘why don’t you?’ That was it. Mountain Mama Florals started from that one sentence.

Now I get to design artful, nature-inspired florals and create the kind of experience where you feel supported, understood, and genuinely taken care of. From the first conversation to the last petal placed.

Chaotic Pinterest board? No flower knowledge? No perfectly defined vision? Perfect. That’s exactly where we come in.
