Our Values

Collaborative & Flexible Design
Wedding planning evolves—and your flowers should be able to evolve with it.
Our design process allows couples to refine and adjust their floral details up until three months before the wedding. Once we finalize the design plan, we confirm quantities and logistics while still remaining adaptable when small changes arise.
This approach keeps the creative process collaborative, relaxed, and aligned with how weddings actually come together.
Event Professionalism
Before launching Mountain Mama Florals, I worked in high-end country club and event management, coordinating weddings and large-scale events from the inside.
That experience shapes everything about how I design today.
Flowers are my art form—but the real joy comes from working closely with people, understanding their vision, and ensuring every floral moment fits seamlessly into the larger celebration.
Thoughtful Sustainability
We believe beautiful events should also be thoughtful ones.
Whenever possible, Mountain Mama Florals prioritizes reusable mechanics and sustainable design practices to reduce waste behind the scenes.
We’re proud to partner with The Simple Sunflower, a local charity that gives post-event flowers a beautiful second life. After your celebration, their volunteer team carefully collects the blooms and thoughtfully repurposes them into small, cheerful arrangements. These are then delivered to local hospitals and care facilities—bringing comfort, color, and a heartfelt reminder that someone is thinking of them. Through this collaboration, your flowers don’t just mark one special day—they go on to brighten many more.
About the Founder

Mountain Mama Florals didn’t start in a studio. It began on a 300-acre farm nestled in the hills of West Virginia, where I spent much of my childhood beside my grandmother. She was a woman of many talents — a painter, a baker, and most memorably, a proud participant in local Flower Shows. She taught me about texture and color, how to mix beauty with wildness, and how to see the artistry in everyday things. Those early memories, wandering the property with her, pulling blooms from the soil and crafting something out of them — that was my first introduction to floral design, though I wouldn’t realize it until much later.
Professionally, I took a different path — high-end country club management. I lived in the world of fine linens, place cards, and wine pairings. But more than that, I lived in service. I was lucky to work alongside incredibly talented floral designers and event professionals, and I soaked it all in. I learned how much thought goes into making people feel special. I learned that the little things — a perfectly timed email, a warmly lit space, a table set just right — can make someone feel cared for. That part stuck with me the most.
Eventually, it all came together — the roots planted in my grandmother’s garden, the artistry she passed down, and the attention to detail I honed in the world of hospitality. I realized I wanted to create something that combined beauty with meaning, wildness with refinement, and artistry with care. That’s how Mountain Mama Florals was born: a floral studio rooted in story, sentiment, and the belief that flowers can do more than decorate — they can connect. Today, Mountain Mama Florals is known for seamless service, heartfelt design, and florals that tell a love story. Every arrangement is a little bit of my past, a lot of heart, and entirely about you.
